Kasma Magazine is currently accepting submissions.

We only accept email submissions. Please put SUBMISSION on the subject line and paste your story into the body of the email. We do not open attachments. Kindly limit word count to under 6000 words. We publish original science fiction, but will consider stories that push that boundry (as long as it incorporates some speculative element). We do consider reprints from time to time.

Don't forget to include your name and the title of your story (we have received a few stories without titles). Also, let us know where you are from. A part of our goal here at Kasma is to promote Canadian science fiction, but we do welcome and love to see pieces from all corners of the globe. Ultimately, if we enjoy your story we'll end up using it, regardless of your nationality.

We are a paying market. We pay a flat rate of ten dollars for every story that we accept.

If Kasma Magazine buys your story, we buy first North American serial rights to publish it in our online magazine, as well as the option to publish it in our anthology. Payment is upon publication.

We do our best to get back to everyone who submits stories to us. This usually takes a few weeks, but if we like your story we may hold on to it for a bit longer before responding. If you suspect we have forgotten about you, don't hesitate to send us a query and we'll do our best to let you know what's happening.
